I’m a drummer by trade. I can appreciate the sound of a seasoned amp with the fuzzy sound! So my answer is I prefer a more vintage sound then updated.

    LOL you said rim job!

Since I started with the tubed Marshalls, thats my preference, but I really like the technology of today’s pedals and effects

I like em both really. My amps are all newer, one is a Carvin tube amp (which sounds vintage) and a VOX Valvetronix (which can replicate just about any or vintage). I would love to get an old vintage Marshall stack though. I love all the pedals and gadgets that are on the market today also…I have lots of really fun pedals.

i go for the older amps as they
    1. cost less
    2. more reliable
    3. you get a really nice sound with little distortion
