    Won’t ruin the sound.

The head only acts as an amplifier. It’s like plugging your headphones into an MP3 player and ripping the headphones off the chord. Yea it technically “works” but you won’t get any sound.

Same with the Head. It’ll produce an amplified signal. But without a speaker of some sort it won’t give you and sound whatsoever.

If you mean a amp head then of course. if you mean another amp then I’m not sure. If it has an AUX out then I don’t see why it wouldnt work.

the speakers will work fine. however you will get the made in china speakers VS the good celestions in the vintage modern or the valvestate cabinets. if you have a MG amp it may have a speaker output on the back. plug cord in and into speaker cabinet. the MG speakers have a more tinty sound than the others. not bad though.

    Don’t do it, man…..

You get what you pay for. Cabinet accounts for 50% of your sound, and it would be like driving your Porche up to your single-wide trailer. It just doesn’t seem right. The materials and the speakers Marshall uses for its MG cabinets just don’t cut it.

If price is an issue, I would look into a 2X12 cabinet. You won’t notice a difference in sound, and unless you are playing in arenas, you don’t really need a full half-stack.

As for your other question, by design, the head does not make any sounds without a cabinet or speakers of some sort.
