Here’s an original receiver manual for sale on eBay for $10.99, plus about $3 shipping (buy it now):

The KR 4070 was made from 1977 to 1981 at a new list price of $315.00. It was rated at 40 wpc. The biggest Kenwood receiver from the 77 to 81 era was the KR9050. It was made between 1979 to 1982. It was 200 wpc and sold new for $1150.00 They also made a KR 9500 that sold between 1977 to 1981. It was a 160wpc model that sold for $775.00.
Your KR 4070 seems to be about mid pack. Kenwood sold several models in the 1977 to 1981 range was were more expensive and more powerful, they also made several models below your KR 4070 that were less expensive and lower in wattage.
I use to have the Kenwood KR 4130 in the early 80’s. It was 24 wpc receiver that sold for @ $230 new. It was a great unit, very clean, the tuner section and TT pre-amp was first class.
