    5 years or more, my guess. I used to build amps and tuners. Actually most of the tubes lasted longer than 5 yrs. I think a lot has to do with how well the air is circulated around the tubes. They do get hot and if u don’t carry the heat off that would shorten their lives quite a bit.

    From experience, the first amp I started (about 16 years ago) with and still use as my practice amp is still on the same one. Most will last for a very long time as long as long as the amp is not dropped extremely hard or badly mishandled. My amp was bought used, along with my first guitar (a 1957 Telecaster) at a pawn shop and I never have ever replaced anything on the amp (the guitar was rough and old, but the amp couldn’t hardly have been more than a couple of years old and hardly used).
