    Yes, but not up to the speaker’s maximum. 150w speakers can handle a lot of power, but the 60w out of the receiver may not be clean, so if you crank the volume, you could still blow the speakers, but I’d doubt it.

    If the speakers are sensitive enough, it won’t take a lot of power to crank them plus older equipment wattage ratings tend to more accurately reflect actual performance than the newer stuff does, so you might be alright. I have an old NAD receiver in my garage rated at 40wpc connected to some in-wall Iinfinity’s rated at 125w and they play very loudly with the receiver volume only turned up a quarter ways -YMMV
